Impact Alamance is proud of our efforts to support a healthier community and healthier children. Below are some of our recent investments.

Alamance Achieves

Several organizations have joined forces to created a cradle to career partnership to improve educational outcomes for all children in Alamance County.  Learn more.

City of Burlington Recreation and Parks Department

Impact Alamance has invested $500,000 in partnership with the City of Burlington to build a splash park to increase opportunities for physical activities for families. Learn more.

Alamance-Burlington School System

ABSS received a $750,000 commitment over five years to create a professional development program for teacher leaders.  Read more about the program here.

Newlin Elementary received a $150,000 for a new, innovative playground for the entire community to use after school hours and on the weekends. This investment is in celebration of the community use policy that opens all elementary school playgrounds and walking tracks to the public.  Learn more.

Community organizations

Women’s Resource Center of Alamance County, Crossroads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center, Healthy Alamance, Alamance Eldercare and Positive Attitude Youth Center have recently been awarded grants for capacity building.  Many executive directors of nonprofits have also participated in The Leadership Institute sponsored by Impact Alamance and the United Way of Alamance County.  Learn more.
