Community Health Fund
Impact Alamance has limited grant opportunities to meet community health needs outside of our strategic funding areas. Our Community Health Fund grants are intended to foster creativity and innovation through one-time awards to implement or expand new ideas that enhance community health.
The maximum amount available through a Community Health Fund grant is $50,000, and the total number of grants awarded will be based on the number of appropriate applications received and foundation funds available. Funding is for equipment only and will not fund operational expenses. Nonprofits and governmental entities in Alamance County are eligible for funding.
As a supporting organization of Cone Health, Impact Alamance investments must improve the health of the community. Proposals must demonstrate a clear tie to measurably improving the community’s social, emotional, cognitive or physical health. The proposal must clearly define how, what and why the effort will benefit the community, and priority will be given to projects that can demonstrate strong potential for sustainability.
Applicants seeking to address current Community Health Assessment priorities (Access to care, Education or Economy) will be given consideration for our cycle in 2018.
Staff will invite selected applicants to apply. Grant applications will be reviewed by the Community Grant Advisory Committee, a group of community leaders appointed by the board. That committee, along with the staff, will make recommendations to the board of directors for funding.
